Google Translate works inside any Android app
Google Translate has received a range of improvements in its most recent update. Its Tap to Translate app lets users translate text within any app.
The feature automatically offers a translation that’s accessible via an icon overlay. This will pop up whenever a user copies text from a chat, comment, or text box within any other app. Google says that the Tap to Translate feature works for all 103 languages on any Android phone running Jelly Bean 4.2 and above.
Meanwhile, iOS users are getting an improved Offline Mode. Once users download a language pack, they’ll get text translations whether they’re online or not.
Google is rolling out these features on both Android and iOS over the next few days.
